Ankle injury will keep Dejan Lovren out of Croatia's European qualifiers against Bulgaria and Malta.
Croatia international defender Dejan Lovren will miss European qualifiers in October, the remaining two matches on the road towards EURO 2016 in France.
Lovren was injured in Liverpool's penalty shootout win over Carlisle in Capital One Cup.
Boris Nemec, the chief of Croatia national team medical staff, explained that Lovren's injury requires three- or four-week recovery, due to second-degree ankle distortion.
Croatia plays Bulgaria on 10 October in Zagreb, and travels to Malta on 13 October.
