Mario Mandžukić will miss Croatia's remaining two European qualifiers in Group H.
Croatia international striker Mario Mandžukić will have to skip European qualifiers against Bulgaria on 10 October and Malta on 13 October.
"Unfortunately, Mandžukić cannot play due to a hamstring injury. He has been examined on Wednesday and concluded that he will not feature in these matches", said Croatia national team doctor Boris Nemec.
"He will be back to full training in two weeks, without risking injury recurrence. Of course, he was not happy with these news, bit his health comes first", added Nemec.
The Juventus star made his debut for Croatia in 2007, and in 62 appearances he scored 19 goals.
