Israel national football team will thus join Slovenia as the most common Croatia's opponent since gaining independence. The Osijek encounter will be the ninth Croatia's match against the Israelis, with Croatia having the upper hand with seven wins in eight matches and 20:8 goal difference.
The only draw dates back to 9 February 2005 and the friendly match in Jerusalem, when the score was tied at 3:3.
