Croatia arrives at base camp at Deauville

On Tuesday, the Vatreni have landed in Normandy, to their UEFA EURO 2016 base camp in Deauville. At Hotel Barriere du Golf, hotel manager Julien Michelot led the host delegation at the ceremonial welcome, where gifts were exchanged.

"We are happy to welcome Croatia national team. We have worked hard to make your stay pleasant, and I hope that France will be helpful to Croatia as it was in 1998, so we can celebrate victories together", said Michelot.

Executive director Damir Vrbanović spoke on behalf of Croatian Football Federation.

"A big thank you goes to the hotel management and staff. In just a few hours, they have assured us we've made the right choice. This is a popular hotel that will provide us everything the national team needs. Return to France is an emotional moment, this is a country that has written Croatian football history in golden letters. I believe we can do the same at this tournament", he said.

Croatia head coach Ante Čačić added:

"We can all be satisfied with the conditions here, the hotel is beautiful, and the training ground is nearby. The rooms and leisure time facilities are excellent. This will help us to remain in the good mood during our everyday routine and come back happy to the hotel after every match".
