Following the victory over Turkey in Paris, Croatia faced Czech Republic at EURO 2016 in Saint Etienne and tied 2:2, despite having a 2:0 lead.
Croatia managed to control the match until the closing minutes, combining at the Czech half and creating chances in front of Petr Čech.
Milan Badelj had two efforts in the first 20 minutes, and Ivan Perišić and Ivan Rakitić came close in 22nd minute. Czech Republic held for a goalless draw until 37th minute, when Perišić penetrated their defence and put the ball past Čech with a clinical low shot.

Croatia's lead was doubled in 59th minute. Marcelo Brozović sent an excellent through ball to Rakitić, who chipped it over Čech with a beautiful finish. However, Luka Modrić was then replaced by Mateo Kovačić due to muscle injury.
Mandžukić and Rakitić were searching for Croatia's third, but it was the Czechs who found the way back. Substitute Škoda headed in in 76th minute, and after an interruption, another substitute Necid scored from the penalty spot in added time, punishing Domagoj Vida's handball.
Croatia will complete its Group D appearance in Bordeaux against Spain.
