Croatia head coach Ante Čačić presented 23-man squad list for the Turkey encounter in Zagreb on 5 September. The Vatreni open the European qualifier for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia against a familiar opponent.
Croatia internationals will travel to Hotel As in Zagreb on 29 August, to prepare for the match against Turkey, to be played at Maksimir Stadium on 5 September at 20:45.
"I wish that all players avoid injures and reach a competitive level, to face Turkey in the best possible shape, considering the early stages of a new club season. We are very familiar with our opponent, Turkey also wants to reach the World Cup, and we are handicapped through playing behind closed doors. However, Croatia is aware of its strength and wants to continue the quality performances from EURO 2016. We believe in a victorious opener, to give us wings on the qualifying path to Russia", said Croatia head coach Ante Čačić.
