Modrić and Rakitić shortlisted for FIFA FIFPro World11

FIFA FIFPro World 11 2016 will be selected by the players, with over 25,000 votes from over 70 countries. One goalkeeper, four defender, three midfielders, and three strikers will find their place in the best team of the year.

Two Croatia internationals, national team captain Luka Modrić and national team vice-captain Ivan Rakitić, are among the nominees. Besides their contribution to the Vatreni, they can both be proud od world-class performances for Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. 

The selected team will be presented at the FIFA The Best award ceremony, on 9 January 2017 in Zürich.
