Croatia vice-captain Vedran Ćorluka sustained a serious injury in the Lokomotiv Moscow - Amkar (3:3) encounter and will be out of action for a longer period of time.
Vedran Ćorluka was substituted due to injury 80 minutes into Russian league match between Lokomotiv Moscow and Amkar Perm. Today's medical examination confirmed the suspicion that Ćorluka ruptured his right Achilles tendon.
Croatia experienced defender and vice-captain expects surgery on Wednesday in Finland, followed by a six-month long recovery process.
