Dalić and Vida: "Azerbaijan is no easy task"

"Croatia has to take this game very seriously and repeat the performance from Slovakia, including the aggressive and responsible approach, compact discipline, and running. Moreover, Croatia has to be patient, since Azerbaijan is a tricky opponent. There are no easy tasks, and we are not fooled by the fact that Azerbaijan is on zero points. The coaching staff warned the players that the hosts are a good team. However, I hope we achieve our objective and secure points. There will be no major changes in the starting lineup"

"There was not much time to prepare for Azerbaijan, a team that gave us trouble a couple of years ago, and more recently in Zagreb. Their quality is better than their results, they have interesting players and can make life tough for anyone. On the other hand, Croatia has excellent players from the biggest European clubs, and we can decide the outcome. We respect Azerbaijan, and have to stay realistic, proving ourselves day after day. The Slovakia game was one of the best in Croatia's history, but it will mean nothing if we fail to beat Azerbaijan on Monday"
