CFF confirms Tivoli Ecoresort as World Cup base

Croatian Football Federation and Tivoli Ecoresort have successfully completed the procedure of selecting the Croatian national team's World Cup base.

Tivoli Ecoresort is a five-star luxury hotel complex, located near the fishing village Praia do Forte in Bahia, cca. 80 kilometers from Salvador and 50 minutes away from the Luís Eduardo Magalhaes Airport, which will be used for travels to Sao Paulo (1500 km), Manaus (2688 km) and Recife (705 km).

Tivoli has always been the first choice of the coaching staff and the head coach Niko Kovač, and the CFF management has promptly reacted and booked this complex before the other interested associations. The training ground is only a three-minute drive away, while the players will enjoy top accommodation in the hotel, from the rooms to the wide selection of free time activities.

Apart from the top accommodation, Tivoli has met the coaching staff's requirements regarding the geographic location and the climate.

"The players will have excellent accommodation and working conditions during the stay in Brazil. Tivoli was our wish from the beginning and I'd like to thank the Federation for the prompt reaction. I am glad that we have settled early, especially with the quality solution like this. Now we can concentrate on the preparation plans, being aware that we will enjoy the ideal working conditions in Brazil", said head coach Niko Kovač, satisfied with the selection of Tivoli.

"From my playing career experience, I know how important it is to have a quality accommodation during the major tournaments. Therefore, we wanted to book one of the finest bases in Brazil for the head coach Kovač and the national team. I am convinced that by selecting Tivoli we have met one of the most important prerequisites for a good show and a quality result at the World Cup", commented the CFF President Davor Šuker.

"After the base inspections during our stay in Brazil, we have never doubted that Tivoli is the ideal choice for Croatia, and we are delighted that our pleasant hosts have helped with the efficient arrangement of all the details. Thus, we have settled one important item in our preparation plans, and we will continue to provide full support for our coaching staff", said the Executive President Damir Vrbanović.
