In their first encounter, Croatia and Armenia shared the spoils (1:1), with Ivan Perišić joining the prestigious Club 100.

Croatia national team host Armenia in its first appearance in Velika Gorica, in the international friendly just ten days before the opening of the upcoming EURO 2020.

Following a quiet beginning, Croatia took the lead on 24 minutes, when Modrić crossed from a corner kick, and Perišić headed it in, in his 100 th international cap.

Ivan Perišić joined Modrić, Srna, Pletikosa, Rakitić, Šimunić, Olić, Ćorluka, and Šimić in Croatia's Club 100. His first international appearance dates back to March 2011, and the EURO 2012 qualifier at Georgia.

Before the break, Perišić had two more promising opportunities, while Modrić and Pašalić also tried to score, but a one-goal lead still stood when the second half begun - with four substitutions made by head coach Dalić

A couple of further chances were missed - Rebić, Kramarić, and Perišić couldn't find the target - and Armenia responded with an equalizer, to continue its nine-match unbeaten streak. Wbeymar produced a screamer to make it 1:1.

On 6 June, Croatia visits Belgium in Brussels, and faces England in the first EURO 2020 challenge, on 13 June in London.
