In its second appearance at EURO 2020, Croatia was trailing to Czech Republic, but Ivan Perišić secured the first point for the World Cup finalists.

Following the loss to England, Zlatko Dalić's men have faced Czech Republic in Group D campaign - five years after their encounter at EURO 2016.

In the first half, it was Czech Republic who created better opportunities, while Croatia pulled off a move for Perišić from a corner kick. On 37 minutes, Schick converted a penalty to secure his team the lead.

Rebić immediately responded, but missed the target, and Croatia started the second half with Petković and Ivanušec, substitutes for Rebić and Brekalo

Just two minutes after the break, Kramarić found Perišić, who cut in from the left, and fired one home to equalize (1:1).

On several occasions, Croatia came close to a second: Kramarić had his effort blocked, Vlašić shot just wide, and Petković also tried in the closing minutes. On the other side, Souček and Hložek posed the major threats. 

In today's remaining Group D fixture, England faces Scotland, while Croatia awaits Scotland encounter on Tuesday, 22 June in Glasgow.
