Following a loss to England (1:0) and a draw with Czech Republic (1:1), Croatia needed to win against Scotland in Glasgow to continue its EURO 2020 campaign.
Zlatko Dalić's men responded brilliantly to this challenge, and were rewarded on 17 minutes, when Juranović's cross from the right found Perišić, who nodded it down to Vlašić to beat the home side's goalkeeper.

However, Scotland created a couple of opportunities in the first half, and McGregor finally fired a low shot home shortly before the break.
Still, the World Cup finalists did perservere, and in the second half Croatia captain Modrić restored the lead. He crowned his impressive performance with a fantastic effort on 62 minutes. His goal will definitely stand among the nominees for the goal of the tournament.
