Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has presented 24-man squad for the upcoming October encounters against Cyprus and Slovakia.
Following a very successful September, when Croatia won seven points to stay at the top of qualifying group, Zlatko Dalić's men await a visit to Cyprus (8 October) and a home tie with Slovakia (11 October). The national team meets on 4 October in Zagreb.
Croatia captain Luka Modrić is back on the squad list, after recovering from injury.
"After September success, we are full of optimism, positive energy, and confidence. However, we have to stay aware that everything we've done has to be confirmed with six more points. That is possible only through complete focus, approach, and unity, presented in previous matches. Croatia has already defeated Cyprus and Slovakia and accepts the role of favourites, but has to play at the highest level. I am convinced that these players will respond to the challenge, and of course we are happy to see Luka Modrić back. As a player and a leader, he is invaluable", Dalić said.
