DENMARK: Schmeichel, Maehle, Christensen, Andersen, Wass (61’ Kristensen), Hojbjerg, Eriksen, Delaney, Damsgaard (61’ Braithwaite), Skov Olsen (84’ Poulsen, 90’ Skov), Cornelius (61’ Wind). Head coach: K. Hjulmand

The decisive moment came on 69 minutes, when Brozović crossed from the right, Kramarić tried a header, and the ball was deflected to Pašalić, who struck from the ground to make it 1:0.
Croatia took control of the match in the second half, as Modrić and Kovačić came off the bench. This domination could have resulted in a goal a few minutes earlier, as Schmeichel saved Modrić's long-distance effort, while Denmark blocked Stanišić's shot. In the final minutes, Brozović could have doubled the lead, but the ball went over the bar.
Early on, Cornelius and Maehle failed to find Croatia's net, with Oršić missing the lonely Croatia's opportunity in the first half. Livaković earned praise just before the break, as he intervened when Cornelius struck low.
Austria and France shared the spoils in the other Group A1 match, while Croatia visits France on Monday.
