Portugal overpowers Croatia U-21 in Karlovac

In the eighth round of the qualifiers for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Croatia was defeated by Portugal with a score of 2-0.

After a win against the Faroe Islands, the young Croatian team concluded their September international action by hosting the group leaders, Portugal, in Karlovac, who took all three points home.
Bernardo secured the lead early in the second half, while Borges sealed the victory in the final minutes of the match.
The Croatian U-21 team enters the October finale of the group stage of the qualifiers in third place, with one point less and one game fewer than second-placed Greece. They will play Andorra at home on October 11 and then face Greece, also at home, on October 15.
