Croatia ranked 11th in the latest FIFA rankings

The Croatian national football team has climbed two places in the latest FIFA rankings, published on Thursday, and is now ranked 11th in the world. Argentina remains at the top of the rankings.
Argentina, which has secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has further extended its lead in first place. Spain has moved up from third to second, while France has dropped from second to third. England holds fourth place, followed by Brazil in fifth. The Netherlands has climbed one spot to become the sixth-ranked team in the world, while Portugal has dropped to seventh.
Among Croatia’s opponents in Group L of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the best-ranked team is the Czech Republic, which has climbed three places to 39th. Montenegro remains in 73rd place, while the Faroe Islands have dropped four spots to 141st. Gibraltar stays at 196th.
The next FIFA rankings will be published on June 10.
