The UEFA Executive Committee has decided that Croatia will host the next Women’s European Futsal Championship, to be held at the Gradski vrt arena in Osijek from 14 to 21 March 2027.
So far, past hosts of this competition have been Portugal (2019, 2022) and Hungary (2023), and on all three occasions Spain took home the title.
Unlike previous editions which featured four teams, the tournament in Croatia will for the first time include eight of Europe’s best women’s futsal national teams.
“I'm pleased that my colleagues on the UEFA Executive Committee recognized the Croatian bid as the best, and we look forward to hosting the best European women futsal players in our beautiful Osijek arena. Futsal has a rich tradition in Croatia, and currently stands as the most attended and viewed indoor sport here, and this tournament will be a great boost for the further growth of women’s futsal”, said Marijan Kustić, President of HNS, who was part of the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Tirana.
Croatia thus gets the chance to host a concluding tournament of a UEFA national competition for the fifth time. To date, the country has hosted the UEFA Regions' Cup (2009), the Futsal EURO (2012), the U-17 European Championship (2017), and the U-19 Futsal EURO (2023).
