With a match to go, Croatia secured next summer's World Cup berth! A victory over Faroe Islands means Croatia has won the qualifying Group L.
The Faroe Islands have managed to draw first blood in Rijeka, courtesy of Turi on 16 minutes, and had a couple of promising opportunities, but Livaković responded and allowed Gvardiol to start the comeback seven minutes later, with a left-footed shot to the far side (1:1).
Croatia turned things around on 57 minutes, when Musa scored after Stanišić provided the assist. Vlašić's goal on 70 minutes, not long following his substitution, sealed the deal (3:1), as Perišić provided the assist.
