The Croatian Football Federation is organizing the “Women in Football” conference, which will take place from 12 to 13 May 2026 at Terme Sveti Martin. The event is focused on the development and empowerment of women in football through the exchange of experiences, contemporary topics, and practical case studies.

The conference programme combines expert lectures, interviews, panel discussions, and workshops, covering topics such as strategies for the development of women’s football and their application in everyday work, building authority and leadership in a sporting environment, career development in football, and global trends and challenges faced by women in the sport.

The conference will also feature distinguished international guests. Among them is Zeycan Rochelle Yıldırım, Marketing Director of YILDIRIM Group, Executive Director of the Garip & Zeycan Yıldırım Foundation, and an advocate for women’s rights and gender equality.

Also participating is Çiğdem Türkan, an expert with extensive experience working in football organizations and clubs such as West Ham United F.C., Chelsea F.C., Crystal Palace F.C., and Arsenal F.C.. She is currently active within the English football system and the Premier League in the areas of education, equality, and player development.

A UEFA perspective will also be presented by Nina Patalon, head coach of the Poland women's national football team. She has extensive experience in developing young players through leading the U-17 and U-19 national teams, and as a former international player and holder of a UEFA Pro Licence, she is one of Poland’s most prominent coaches.

In addition, guests from FIFA, as well as numerous domestic and regional experts, will take part in the conference.

Prominent Croatian professionals will also deliver presentations, including Iva Olivari, team manager of the senior national team and Deputy Secretary General of the Croatian Football Federation, who will lead a discussion on building women’s authority in a sports environment, and Ivančica Sudac, Head of the Licensing Department, who will share experiences and lessons from her long-standing career in football.

In addition to the lecture programme, the conference will include interactive workshops and roundtable discussions, allowing participants to actively engage, exchange experiences, and develop practical tools applicable to their everyday work in football.
