Croatia open campaign with defeat to Ukraine

Croatia’s U-19 national team began their UEFA European Under-19 Championship campaign in Wales with a 3–1 defeat to Ukraine.

Siniša Oreščanin’s side took the lead in the 22nd minute when Barić converted a penalty. However, Ukraine turned the match around with goals from Bohdanov (26’), Kaliuzhnyi (48’), and Liusin (57’).
