Coach Stanković's final squad for Euro 2014

Four days before the departure to Belgium, during the final preparations in Novigrad, head coach Mato Stanković selected the 14 players to represent Croatia at the UEFA Futsal EURO:

Ivo Jukić, Nikola Pavić, Vedran Matošević, Kristijan Grbeša, Josip Suton, Tihomir Novak, Alen Protega, Franco Jelovčić, Gordan Duvančić, Matija Capar, Jakov Grcić, Saša Babić, Marin Stojkić, Dario Marinović.

The only issue is the Alen Protega's injury (calf), who joined the training process after physiotherapy and will travel to Belgium in case of no new complications. If necessary, the head coach will replace him with Franko Bilić, who will also be travelling with the squad.

Croatia will play in Group D, together with the current champions Spain, and Czech Republic. Opponent analysis is in the focus of the final preparations:

"We have been actively preparing for Spain, to obstruct their style of play. We have been working on defence and attack in accordance with the opponent's virtues. Now we are moving on, to the preparations for the Czech Republic, a team similar to ours, and there cannot be many surprises since we have often played against them", says Stanković.

Croatia has two training sessions a day, with opponent analysis, and the head coach is satisfied with the presentation in the two closed friendlies against Slovenia.

The Croatian national futsal team travels to Zagreb on January 25th, and the next day travels to Belgium. The opening match against Spain is scheduled for January 29th. Two days later, Croatia will play Czech Republic, and the Group D will be completed on February 2nd, with the match Czech Republic - Spain.
