Croatian Football Federation announced the friendly match with the Mali national football team at the last available date before the World Cup.
Croatia's friendly with Mali is scheduled for May 31st, while the Croatian national team will travel to its base in Brazil on June 3rd.
The friendly match with Mali will be played in Croatia, with the venue still to be announced.
"I am satisfied with the agreement. Mali is the opponent we have wished for, twice winning the third place at the African Cup of Nations and being the strong team that will serve us as the preparation for the Cameroon match", said Croatia head coach Niko Kovač.
This match completes the Croatia's friendly schedule before the World Cup. Croatia will play Switzerland in St. Gallen on March 5th, and Australia in Brazil on June 6th.
"I am glad that all the matches have been confirmed. Now, we can plan every preparation detail", said Kovač.
Croatia will play the opening match of the World Cup against Brazil on June 12th in Sao Paulo. Six days later Croatia will play Cameroon in Manaus, and then finish group stage against Mexico on June 23rd in Recife.
