CFF delegation is attending FIFA Workshop for the World Cup qualified teams, with Croatia head coach Niko Kovač being amongst the most interesting persons for both domestic and international media.
After reviewing the Tivoli base, the eight-member CFF delegation went to Florianopolis on Tuesday and Wednesday, to attend the FIFA Workshop for 32 federations that have teams qualified for the World Cup.
On the first day, 24 head coaches have talked to the media. Understandably, Croatia head coach Niko Kovač had a lot of demands from both Brazilian and international journalists, with Croatia opening the World Cup against Brazil on June 12th in Sao Paulo:
"Immediately after the draw, we have said that this is an honour and a privilege for any national team. We are proud to be a part of the opening match, as we are awaiting a great atmosphere. Croatia will do its best in order to present our country to the whole world", said Kovač.
Analyzing the opponents in the Group A, Kovač is clear on the balance of power:
"Brazil is not only the favourite of the Group, but of the entire World Cup. Croatia, Mexico and Cameroon will seek the second place and the next round. These are all strong teams with strong points and weaknesses, and we have already made a detailed analysis, and we shall be prepared".
Coach Kovač has praised the Tivoli base and is looking forward to the fan support in Brazil:
"Brazil will surely have passionate crowd, not only in the stands. 200 million people will be watching on TV. However, this will bring pressure for the hosts and that can be Croatia's advantage. Mexico will also have strong support in Recife, yet I have no doubt that we can cope with that, as well as with the demanding climate".
