Ivan Rakitić to miss Russia encounter

Croatia international Ivan Rakitić was substituted in 20th minute of Barcelona's Champions League encounter with BATE Borisov (3:0) with a calf injury.

Due to an injury, @ivanrakitic will not be in Croatian squad for a match against Russia. Ivan, we wish you a speedy recovery!

His MRI scan confirmed minor muscle tear which will make Rakitić miss out on Croatia's friendly trip to Russia.

The match with Russia, to be played on 17 November, was originally arranged at Krasnodar, but was later moved to Rostov on Don.
