Croatia No. 1 goalkeeper Danijel Subašić has agreed to remain in the ranks of French champions AS Monaco until 2020.
On Wednesday, Danijel Subašić has signed a contract extension with his current employer, AS Monaco. The new contract is valid up to May 2020.
Subašić joined Monaco as the current champions still played in Ligue 2, and today, with his 32 years of age, Croatia goalkeeper is among the club icons, one of the key players in a quality squad that won Ligue 1 last year. Moreover, Subašić and AS Monaco reached the semifinal stage of Champions League.
"I am very happy to sign a new contract. This team has worked hard to achieve great success. I believe we have deserved it, and we have full support of our president and our management. Now we have to respond on the field of play, once again", said Subašić.
Subašić was capped 31 times, yet the current injury could prevent him from playing in October qualifiers against Finland and Ukraine.
