Halilović: "Croatia can reach the semifinals and the World Cup"

Croatia U-17 reached the European Championships second round and will face Belgium for the a place in the semifinals and at the World Cup in Chile.

"Congratulations to my team and coaching staff for winning the Group A and reaching the quarterfinals. It was a tough battle against Spain, but our resistance was excellent. We played at the required level, and now we are preparing for Belgium. We can't wait, and hope to win", said Matej Hudećek between the Spain and Belgium games.

His compatriot Dino Halilović emphasizes that it wasn't impossible for Croatia to beat Spain as well.

"We could have won it in the end, but we didn't convert our chances. We have proven that we were the best team in the Group A", he said. Croatia U-17 topped the group table with seven point, and goal-difference 3:0.

"All we think about now are the Belgians. It will surely be difficult against them, but if we will play like we can, we can reach the semifinals and the World Cup", says Halilović ahead of 15 May encounter.
