Brekalo: "We were fighting like lions"

Croatia U-17 celebrates a night to remember. Win over Germany - 2:0 by Moro and Lovren - secured them a World Cup quarterfinal berth.

Goalkeeper Adrian Šemper produced several crucial saves to keep the opponents at bay.

"I congratulate my teammates for what is surely the best game of their lives. We have given all we can and stuck with the game plan. Moreover, we are immediately starting to focus at Mali encounter. We will strive for the victory once more", said Šemper.

German defence had numerous problems with Josip Brekalo, who was creating Croatia's chances over and over again.

"We are thrilled. We were fighting like lions. Now we turn to Mali i we will try to achieve something big at the World Cup. If we can go all the way, why not?", said Brekalo speaking to hns-cff.hr.
