Head coach Zlatko Dalić has selected the squad to represent Croatia at the upcoming EURO 2020 final tournament.
Croatia national team meets on 25 May in Zagreb, and then travels to Rovinj, before two friendly matches, against Armenia in Velika Gorica (1 June) and Belgium in Brussels (6 June). In EURO 2020 Group D, World Cup finalists face hosts Englands and Scotland, and Czech Republic.
"The preparation stage will be a tough job. Players come from an exhausting season, but all the national teams are in the same situation. I am happy to have some more time with the players, to develop unity. There are no internal conflicts - if there were, I wouldn't be here anymore - but the team spirit grows with positive results. There were not many of them in the previous months, but I believe in this coaching staff and our work. Our main objective remains the EURO 2020 Round of 16, since we perform at the highest level in the most important matches. The opponents have extraordinary quality, especially England, who will have seven or eight players in the Champions League final, but I am optimistic", says head coach Zlatko Dalić.
There are 26 players on his list, and Filip Uremović could replace Mile Škorić if he recovers on time.
"These players are Croatia's best. I am happy that our forwards are playing excellently, scoring goals in the final rounds of national championships, playing major roles in their clubs - that's good. I want to take only positives before the start of EURO 2020, and I believe we will be ready. Following the 2018 FIFA World Cup silver, the bar has been set very high, but we will try to achieve something great", Dalić added.
Former Croatia international with 103 caps, a one of the silver medallists from Russia, Vedran Ćorluka, joined Zlatko Dalić's staff.
