In a World Cup qualifying match, the Croatia women’s national team recorded an important away win against Gibraltar, triumphing 1–0.

Croatia dominated the match and controlled the tempo throughout, but managed to score only once despite creating several chances. The decisive goal came in the 38th minute when Karla Kurkutović found the net, securing three valuable points for Croatia in their fight for the top of the group.
The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at NK Junak Stadium in Sinj, kicking off at 16:30.
“We dominated the entire game and dictated the tempo. Unfortunately, we only scored one goal despite having more chances. We’re looking forward to the return leg and hope to take all three points at home as well,” said Janja Čanjevac.
In Group C2 of the World Cup qualifiers, Kosovo lead with nine points, Croatia are second with six, Bulgaria have three points, while Gibraltar remain without points.
