The draw for the UEFA play-offs for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers was held at UEFA headquarters. The tournament will take place in Brazil from 24 June to 25 July 2027.

The Croatia women’s national team will face Iceland in the first round of the play-offs. The ties will be played over two legs between 7 and 13 October 2026, with Croatia hosting the first match.

Should they progress, the Croatian women will meet the winner of the tie between Northern Ireland and Portugal in the second round of the play-offs. The second round will be played between 26 November and 5 December 2026.

The four winners of UEFA Women’s Nations League A groups, Denmark, France, Germany, and Spain have already secured direct qualification for the final tournament in Brazil.

The remaining seven European places at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, along with one spot in the inter-confederation play-offs, will be decided through the qualification play-off matches taking place in October and November/December.

A total of eight teams will emerge as winners from the European play-offs. Seven of them will qualify directly for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, while one team will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs to compete for the final places at the tournament.
