Croatia women win fourth place in World Cup qualifying

With a victory over Slovenia 1:0 in the penultimate match, at Lučko Stadium, Croatia women secured the fourth place in World Cup qualifying Group 1.

Izabela Lojna scored the lone goal in the 15th minute, repeating Croatia's success when coach Damjanović's players won in Slovenia (3:0) earlier in the campaign.

Four days later, at Siget Stadium, Russia claimed the second place in Group 1, defeating Croatia 3:1 with Pantyukhina brace and Terekhova strike late in the second calf.

Croatia managed to temporarily equalize in 26th minute, with Lojna once again finding the net.
